I'LL INTRODUCE THAT. THANK YOU. AND, UH, OUR REPORT WILL BE FROM THE ADMINISTRATIVE COMMITTEE CHAIR, KATHY DEROSA. GREAT, THANK YOU. GOOD EVENING, EVERYONE. UM, AS YOU'LL RECALL, I REPORTED AT OUR AUGUST 12TH COUNCIL MEETING THAT STAFF HAS PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO SOME ESTABLISHED LEGISLATION FOR OUR ADVISORY COMMITTEES. AND BEFORE YOU DENIED AS ONE OF THOSE AMENDMENTS, UM, THE COMMUNITY SERVICES ADVISORY COMMISSION WAS THE ONLY ADVISORY COMMITTEE THAT, UH, HAD BEEN ESTABLISHED BY ORDINANCE. THEREFORE, THIS ORDINANCE IS NECESSARY TO BRING THE CSAC INTO ALIGNMENT WITH OUR OTHER ADVISORY COMMITTEES. SO, UM, THIS RESOLUTION, THE RESOLUTION TO, UM, UH, REESTABLISH IT WILL COME AT SEPTEMBER 9TH, BUT THE FIRST THING THAT WE NEED TO DO IS PASS THIS LEGISLATION TO MAKE THAT POSSIBLE. SO, UM, THE ADMINISTRATIVE COMMITTEE WITH STAFF'S RECOMMENDATION ASKS FOR, UM, UH, APPROVAL OF THIS ORDINANCE AT OUR SEPTEMBER 9TH MEETING. VERY GOOD. THANK YOU. OKAY, OUR STAFF REPORT THIS EVENING WILL BE FROM BRIAN GABLE. WELCOME. THANK YOU. GOOD EVENING. MEMBERS OF COUNCIL, THE SOUTH HIGH STREET UTILITY BURIAL WILL, WILL PERFORM THE BURIAL OF EXISTING OVERHEAD, PRIMARY ELECTRIC LINES UNDERGROUND AND RELOCATE THE EXISTING OVERHEAD ELECTRIC AND TELECOMMUNICATION UTILITY LINES ALONG BLACKSMITH LANE, SOUTH HIGH STREET AND INTERSECTING STREETS TO UNDERGROUND. AT THE COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT, ALL OVERHEAD UTILITY LINES AND POLES IN THE PROJECT AREA WILL BE REMOVED BETWEEN WESTBRIDGE STREET AND SHORT STREET, INCLUDING THE POLES ALONG SOUTH HIGH STREET. ON YOUR SCREEN, YOU CAN SEE THE TWO PHASES OF THE PROJECT. PHASE ONE WAS THE FIRST PHASE THAT WE PERFORMED. UM, PHASE TWO IS THE PROJECT WE'RE TALKING ABOUT NOW. THE CITY'S CURRENTLY FINALIZING CONSTRUCTION AGREEMENTS WITH A EP AND THE COMMU DIFFERENT COMMUNICATION PROVIDERS FOR THE PROJECT, WHICH ARE ANTICIPATED TO BE PRESENTED TO COUNCIL BEFORE THE END OF THE YEAR. ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY INTERESTS FROM 20 PROPERTY OWNERS IS NECESSARY TO CONSTRUCT PHASE TWO OF THIS PROJECT. PRESENTLY, THE PROJECT IS PLANNED TO START CONSTRUCTION IN EARLY 2025 AND IS ANTICIPATED TO BE COMPLETE AT THE END OF 2025 WITH THE SOUTH HIGH STREET POLES BEING REMOVED OVER THE WINTER OF 2026. THESE SIX ORDINANCES PROVIDE FOR SIX ACQUISITIONS OF PROPERTY AS DETAILED IN THE ATTACHED MEMO, AND AS YOU CAN KIND OF SEE DIFFERENT PARTS OF THEM ON THE SCREEN HERE, UH, THE CITY HAS PARTICIPATED IN GOOD FAITH DISCUSSIONS WITH EACH OF THE PROPERTY OWNERS AND HAVE ARRIVED AT MUTUAL MU, EXCUSE ME, MUTUALLY AGREEABLE TERMS. ADDITIONAL ACQUISITIONS WILL BE PRESENTED TO COUNCIL WHEN THEY, ONCE THEY ARE AGREED, THE ADOPTION OF THESE ORDINANCES AUTHORIZES THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL NECESSARY CONVEYANCE DOCUMENTS AND CONTRACTS TO FORMALLY ACQUIRE THE NECESSARY PROPERTY INTERESTS. STAFF RECOMMENDS ADOPTION OF THESE SIX ORDINANCES AT THE SECOND READING PUBLIC HEARING ON SEPTEMBER 16TH, 2024. UM, BEFORE WE KINDA SHIFT, I WOULD THIS ON THE SCREEN NOW, YOU CAN SEE PARCEL EIGHT IS ONE OF THE SMALLER PARCELS ON THE RIGHT OF THE SCREEN, UH, KIND OF IN, UH, TEAL. AND THEN THIS ONE HAS 13, 16, AND 17 ON THEM. UM, THEY ALSO HAVE THE OTHER PARCELS THAT ARE IN THERE TOO. SO 13 IS ALSO TEAL KIND OF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SCREEN. AND THEN 16 AND 17 ARE ON, UH, THE RIGHT SIDE IN THE KIND OF PURPLE AND DARKER PURPLE. AND THEN LASTLY, 1920 ARE ACTUALLY AT THE SOUTHERN EDGE OF THE PROJECT, UH, CLOSER TO SHORT STREET, UH, THE TWO ON THE LEFT SIDE OF YOUR SCREEN HERE. WITH THAT, I'LL DO MY BEST TO ADDRESS ANY QUESTIONS COUNSEL MIGHT HAVE REGARDING THESE ORDINANCES. VERY GOOD, THANK YOU. UH, IS THERE ANYONE PRESENT THIS EVENING THAT WOULD LIKE TO SPEAK RELATIVE TO THIS LEGISLATION? HEARING NONE COUNSEL QUESTIONS. DISCUSSION. WELL, WE WILL LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING, UH, FROM YOU AGAIN. A SECOND READING WILL BE SCHEDULED FOR SEPTEMBER THE 16TH. ON THIS ITEM SPRINGS US TO THE INTRODUCTION, PUBLIC HEARING VOTE RESOLUTION [Resolution 41-24] RESOLUTION 14, I'M SORRY, RESOLUTION 41 DASH 24 AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPLY FOR AND EXECUTE A GRANT AGREEMENT TO ACCEPT GRANT FUNDING FROM THE CLEAN OHIO CONSERVATION PROGRAM ADMINISTERED THROUGH THE OHIO PUBLIC WORKS COMMISSION FOR THE WATERWAYS MAINTENANCE PROGRAM, YEAR TWO PROJECT. ALL VERY GOOD. THANK YOU. AND OUR STAFF REPORT THIS EVENING WILL BE FROM MICHAEL HENDERSHOT. WELCOME. THANK YOU. GOOD EVENING, MEMBERS OF COUNCIL FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION THIS EVENING AS THE RESOLUTION TO SUBMIT A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE OHIO PUBLIC WORKS COMMISSION FOR CONSIDERATION TO RECEIVE $200,000 AND GRANT FUNDING THROUGH THE CLEAN OHIO CONSERVATION PROGRAM FOR THE WATERWAYS MAINTENANCE PROGRAM, YEAR TWO PROJECT AND TO EXECUTE THE GRANT AGREEMENT IF GRANT FUNDING IS AWARDED. THE CLEAN OHIO CONSERVATION PROGRAM PROVIDES GRANT FUNDING FOR UP TO 25% OF THE ESTIMATED COSTS FOR PROJECTS THAT ACQUIRE GREEN SPACE FOR ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION OR PROTECT AND ENHANCED RIPARIAN CORRIDOR STREAMS, RIVERS, LAKES, AND OTHER BODIES OF WATER. THIS PROGRAM IS ADMINISTERED BY THE OHIO PUBLIC WORKS COMMISSION. THE OHIO PUBLIC'S WORKS COMMISSION REQUIRES [00:10:01] CITY COUNCIL TO PASS A RESOLUTION THAT ALSO AUTHORIZES THE CITY MANAGER MANAGER TO APPLY FOR GRANT FUNDING THROUGH THE PROGRAM. THE PROGRAM REQUIRES A DEED RESTRICTION BE RECORDED FOR PROJECT AREAS OCCURRING ON CITY OWNED PROPERTY, AND THE CONSERVATION EASEMENT BE RECORDED FOR PROJECT AREAS OCCURRING ON PRIVATE PROPERTY WHEREVER PROGRAM FUNDING AND LOCAL MATCH FUNDING ARE UTILIZED. STAFF HAS IDENTIFIED 28 SITE 28 WITHIN THE PROJECT AS A CANDIDATE FOR CONSIDERATION TO RECEIVE GRANT FUNDING THROUGH THE PROGRAM. SO AS YOU CAN SEE ON THE SCREEN, WE'VE OUTLINED, UH, PROJECT AREA 28. SO THIS IS WITHIN THE WINDUP WOODS DEVELOPMENT, SPECIFICALLY WITHIN RESERVE SEA. UM, SO THE, UH, SITE 28 IS LOCATED ALONG TANTE CREEK, UM, WHICH I MENTIONED, WHICH IS, UH, WITHIN THE CITY OWNED RESERVE SEA OF THE W ATWOOD SUBDIVISION, SOUTH OF W ATWOOD BOULEVARD, WEST OF BOYLESTON COURT. THE TOTAL COST OF CON OF CONSTRUCTION AS WELL AS DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION FOR SITE 28 IS $268,000, WHICH IS THE BASIS FOR THE $200,000. UM, GRANT FUNDING REQUEST STAFF DOES NOT HAVE ANY CONCERNS WITH THE PLACEMENT OF A DEED RESTRICTION ON THIS PROPERTY, UM, BECAUSE THE PURPOSE OF RESERVE SEA WITHIN THE WUP WOOD SUBDIVISION IS FOR PRESERVATION OF TREES AND IT IS A PASSIVE OPEN SPACE AS WELL AS A HEAVILY WOODED, UM, TREE STAND AREA. THE PROJECT PRESERVES AND IMPROVES THE STABILITY AND FLOOD CARRYING CAPACITY OF WATERWAYS AND PROTECTS RIPARIAN CORRIDORS AND INFRASTRUCTURE. ADDITIONALLY, THE PROJECT IS PART OF A MULTI-YEAR WATERWAYS MAINTENANCE PROGRAM WITHIN THE ADOPTED CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PROGRAM. STAFF RECOMMENDS COUNCIL APPROVAL OF THIS RESOLUTION TO SUBMIT A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE OHIO PUBLIC WORKS COMMISSION FOR CONSIDERATION TO RECEIVE GRANT FUNDING THROUGH THE CLEAN OHIO CONSERVATION PROGRAM FOR THE WATERWAYS MAINTENANCE PROGRAM, YEAR TWO PROJECT, AND TO EXECUTE A GRANT AGREEMENT IF GRANT FUNDING IS AWARDED. AND WITH THAT, I WOULD BE HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS COUNSEL MIGHT HAVE REGARDING THIS RESOLUTION. VERY GOOD, THANK YOU. IS THERE ANYONE PRESENT THIS EVENING THAT WOULD LIKE TO SPEAK RELATIVE TO THIS LEGISLATION? HEARING NONE COUNSEL QUESTIONS DISCUSSION. QUIET LUNCH TONIGHT. VERY GOOD. JENNY, WOULD YOU PLEASE CALL THE ROLE MAYOR AROSE GROOMS? YES. MR. REINER? YES. MS. FOX? YES. MR. ROSA? YES. MR. KEELER? YES. VICE MAYOR LUDO? YES. MS. CRAM? YES. OKAY. THIS BRINGS US [COTA Bus Stop Improvement Program Briefing] TO THE OTHER BUSINESS PORTION OF OUR AGENDA. THE CODA BUS STOP IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM. BRIEFING IN OUR STAFF REPORT WILL BE FROM JM RAYBURN. WELCOME, JM. THANK YOU. GOOD EVENING, MEMBERS OF COUNCIL THIS EVENING. I'M HERE TO TALK ABOUT AN EXCITING PROJECT, THE CODA BUS STOP IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM IN FURTHERANCE OF THE APPROVED CODA BUS STOP IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM IN THE 2024 TO 2028 CIP OR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PROGRAM. STAFF HAS EVALUATED STYLE OPTIONS OF TRANSIT SHELTERS AND THEIR ASSOCIATED FURNISHINGS FEEDBACK FROM THE PUBLIC SERVICES COMMITTEE PRIORITIZED THE BUS STOP LOCATIONS LISTED ON THE SCREEN. ADDITIONALLY, I'LL PROVIDE INFORMATION, UH, REGARDING A SIDEWALK ON SAMO ROAD, WHICH WILL SERVE LOCATION THREE AT THE INTERSECTION OF SAMO ROAD IN SOFFER. THE PUBLIC SERVICES COMMITTEE LIKED THE IMPROVEMENT PACKAGE FOR EACH CODE OF BUS STOP, WHICH INCLUDED TWO BIKE RACKS, A TRASH RECEPTACLE, A CONCRETE PAD BENCH, AND A CANOPY STRUCTURE TO SERVE AS A TRANSIT SHELTER. UM, I'LL WALK THROUGH SEVERAL DIFFERENT STYLE OPTIONS FOR EACH OF THESE, AND THE INFORMATION WILL INCLUDE, UM, DETAILS ON SIZE AS WELL AS SPECIAL FEATURES AND ESTIMATED COST PER EACH STOP. AND THEN YOU'LL NOTICE THERE'S A TOTAL COST PER STOP AS WE GET THROUGH EACH STYLE. AND THOSE INCLUDE THE COST OF THE FURNISHINGS, LIKE THE BIKE RACKS AND ANY BENCHES THAT WILL BE INCORPORATED, UM, INTO THE PROGRAM. SO FIRST, LET'S START WITH BIKE RACKS. CONSISTENT WITH THE ASSOCIATION OF PEDESTRIAN AND BICYCLE PROFESSIONALS, THE INTERNATIONAL BEST PRACTICES, THE DESIGN OF A BIKE SHOT, UH, EXCUSE ME, A BIKE RACK SHOULD ALLOW CONTACT OF A BICYCLE FRAME TO TWO POINTS OF CONTACT ON A BIKE RACK. AND WE IDENTIFIED OR STAFF IDENTIFIED THREE BIKE RACK OPTIONS FOR THIS PROJECT THAT MEET THAT CRITERIA. SO STARTING ON THE LEFT, WE HAVE THE BOWL OF BIKE RACK. THIS TYPE OR THIS STYLE BIKE RACK WAS, UM, APPROVED WITH THE DCRC MOBILITY HUB PLANS. AND IT'S ALSO GOING TO BE, UM, THE SELECTION OF BIKE RACKS FOR THE E-BIKE CHARGING SPOT IN HISTORIC DUBLIN ON MILL LANE. THE ONE THE BIKE RACK, BIKE RACK IN THE MIDDLE IS THE LOOP BIKE RACK. YOU MAY HAVE NOTICED THIS THROUGHOUT THE BRIDGE STREET [00:15:01] DISTRICT, PARTICULARLY ON JOHN CHILLS PARKWAY IN RIVERSIDE DRIVE. UM, AND FINALLY ON THE RIGHT IS THE R BIKE RACK, AND THERE ARE INSTALLATIONS OF THIS BIKE RACK AROUND THE DUBLIN, UH, LIBRARY, THE COMMERCIAL, OR EXCUSE ME, THE COLUMBUS METROPOLITAN LIBRARY, SO ON HIGH STREET, NORTH STREET ROCK CREST BOULEVARD. AND IT ALSO RESEMBLES THE BIKE RACKS THAT ARE CURRENTLY AT THE CODA PARK AND RIDE ON DALE DRIVE. SO STAFF RECOMMENDS OF ALL THESE THREE TO GO WITH THE EBOLA BIKE RACK FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS. ONE, BECAUSE IT'S INCLUDED IN THE APPROVED BIKE, UH, THE APPROVED PLANS FOR THE DCRC MOBILITY HUB AND THE NEW E-BIKE CHARGING SPOT ON MILL LANE. SO APPLYING THE EBOLA BIKE RACKS AT DUBLIN BUS STOPS WOULD ENHANCE THE DESIGN COHESION ACROSS THE CITY'S NEXT GENERATION OF TRANSPORTATION AND MOBILITY INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS, WHICH WOULD INCLUDE THE DCRC MOBILITY HUB, AS WELL AS THE, UM, E-BIKE CHARGING STATION. AND USING A STANDARD BIKE RACK AT ALL THESE LOCATIONS WOULD HELP WITH EASE OF MAINTENANCE AS WELL AS ANY REPLACEMENT THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE. NEXT, I'LL TALK ABOUT TRASH RECEPTACLES, WHICH IS VERY EXCITING. WE HAVE TWO OPTIONS. FIRST, THANK YOU. UH, COUNCIL MEMBER CAM, THE FIR THE FIRST OPTION IS FROM VICTOR AND STANLEY AND IT'S THE A 45. YOU MAY RECOGNIZE THIS, UH, TRASH RECEPTACLE. IT'S AT RIVERSIDE CROSSING PARK, AS WELL AS SOME OTHER PARKS IN THE DUBLIN, UH, PARK SYSTEM. AND IT WAS ALSO INCLUDED IN THE APPROVED PLANS FOR THE DCRC MOBILITY HUB. SO FOR THIS, UH, BETWEEN THESE TWO, WE WOULD RECOMMEND OR STAFF RECOMMENDS THE A 45, THE VICTOR AND STANLEY AT UC, RIVERSIDE CROSSING PARK, AS WELL AS IN THE PLANS FOR THE DCRC MOBILITY HUB. THIS WOULD, USING THE CONSISTENT STYLES HERE, WOULD HELP FOSTER AN IDENTITY WITH OUR TRANSPORTATION AND MOBILITY INFRASTRUCTURE TO HAVE CONSISTENT APPLICATIONS OF THESE COMMON UH, COMPONENTS. AND THEN AGAIN, GOING BACK TO THE EASE OF MAINTENANCE AND ANY REPLACEMENTS, UH, THAT WOULD BE NEEDED, CERTAINLY BE EASIER IF WE HAD A STANDARD, UH, STYLE. AS WE GET INTO THE TRANSIT SHELTER STYLE SELECTIONS, THERE'S A LITTLE BIT MORE CRITERIA THAT WAS BAKED INTO THE ANALYSIS BY STAFF. WE LOOKED AT THE ENVISION DUBLIN PLAN AND WANTED TO FIND WAYS THAT WE CAN FURTHER THAT PLAN WITH THE DESIGN OF THE ENHANCED BUS STOPS, UM, TO MAKE SURE THAT THEY ARE HIGH QUALITY AND ACCESSIBLE TO ALL USERS. WE ALSO LOOKED AT THE PROJECT FOR, FOR PUBLIC SPACES AND THEIR NATIONAL BEST PRACTICES FOR TRANSIT STOPS. AND THAT ORGANIZATION STATES THAT A WELL-DESIGNED BUS STOP OR BEST SHELTERS SHOULD POSSESS FOUR ESSENTIAL QUALITIES. THE FIRST BEING VISIBILITY FOLLOWED BY ACCESSIBILITY, FOLLOWED BY COMFORT, AND THEN INFORMATION, THE SELECTION AND CRITERIA FOR THE STYLES OF TRANSIT SHELTERS INCLUDED. ALSO, WHAT IS THE SURROUNDING BUILT ENVIRONMENT OF EACH OF THESE LOCATIONS AND HOW DOES THE CHARACTER ARCHITECTURALLY AND THE MATERIALS COMPLEMENT, UM, OR BE COMPATIBLE WITH THE BUS STOP? UH, SELECTION LIGHTING SHOULD BE INCORPORATED FOR SAFETY AND FOR SECURITY AND IN ALIGNMENT IN ADVANCING OF THE CITY'S SUSTAINABILITY RESILIENT GOALS. IT SHOULD BE SOLAR POWERED IF POSSIBLE, UM, AND BE ABLE TO BE DISCONNECTED FROM THE GRID AND BE ABLE TO FUNCTION ON ITS OWN. RECYCLING MATERIALS ARE A PLUS AS WELL. AND THEN THINKING ABOUT WHAT ARE THOSE WAY FINDING COMPONENTS THAT WOULD BE BUILT INTO DESIGN OF A SHELTER IN THE SENSE OF PLACE. SO WITH ALL THAT BEING SAID, I'LL WALK THROUGH SIX DIFFERENT STYLES WITH YOU AND GO THROUGH SOME OF THE CRITERIA AND, UH, THAT STAFF ANALYZED. THE FIRST ONE MAY BE, UH, A SHUTTLE THAT, OR EXCUSE ME, A SHELTER THAT YOU'VE SEEN THROUGHOUT CENTRAL OHIO. THIS IS THE KODA BUS SHELTER THAT WAS DESIGNED IN A PARTNERSHIP WITH THE COLUMBUS COLLEGE OF ART AND DESIGN BACK IN 2014. THIS SHELTER DOES FEATURE BENCH AND SOLAR LIGHTING AS WELL IS MADE OF OR CONSTRUCTED OF RECYCLED MATERIALS. AND WHILE THE DESIGN IS COMPACT, CERTAIN DESIGN ELEMENTS LACK COHESION WITH THE SURROUNDING BUILT ENVIRONMENT, SUCH AS THE ROOF LINE, RECTANGULAR POSTS FOR SUPPORT. AND THE LIGHTING'S NOT WELL INTEGRATED INTO THIS STRUCTURE. IT'S MORE OF AN ADDED KIT. SO YOU CAN CERTAINLY TELL THAT IT WASN'T EXACTLY PART OF THE ORIGINAL DESIGN. UM, BUT ONE THING THAT'S IMPORTANT TO STATE WITH THIS SELECTION IS IF WE DO GO WITH THIS SHELTER, WE, UH, THE CITY OF DUBLIN WOULD STILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTENANCE BECAUSE IT DOESN'T MEET THE RIDERSHIP THRESHOLD THAT CODA HAS FOR UPDATING BUS STOPS ON THEIR OWN. SO THAT'S SOMETHING TO TO HAVE IN CONSIDERATION AS WE TALK THROUGH THESE STYLES. SO BECAUSE OF ALL OF THIS I'VE LISTED, WE DID NOT RECOGNIZE, OR EXCUSE ME, RECOMMEND THIS STYLE SELECTION FOR THESE REASONS. THE NEXT ONE WE'LL LOOK AT IS CALLED THE SIGNATURE ORION SHELTER. THIS FEATURE IS A CURVED, TRANSLUCENT, TRANSLUCENT TINTED RADIUS ROOF WEATHER, PROTECTING GLASS WALLS, AN INTEGRATED RAIN GUTTER [00:20:01] IN ROUND POSTS. WHAT'S UNIQUE ABOUT THIS SHELTER IS THE REAR BANNER SIGNS THAT CLEARLY MARK THE BUS STOP NAMES AND OTHER WAY FINDING COMPONENTS IT CAN, UM, IN EITHER DIRECTION. THIS DOES, THIS FEATURE PROVIDES A CERTAIN REASSURANCE FOR RIDERS KNOWING THAT THEY CAN ORIENT THEMSELVES AND UNDERSTAND WHERE THEY'RE GOING BY HAVING SOME OF THE WAYFINDING COMPONENTS BUILT INTO THE TRANSIT SHELTER. UM, THERE'S ALSO OPTIONAL BRANDING FOR THE CITY. SO THINK OF A LOGO THAT CAN BE INTEGRATED INTO THE GLASS PANELS, FOR EXAMPLE, TO HELP WITH PLACEMAKING, UM, BUT ALSO TO PROMOTE THE CITY BRANDING. AND WHAT'S INTERESTING IS THAT THE WAY FINDING SIGN AND THE CITY BRANDING IS SOMETHING THAT YOU DON'T REALLY SEE ON OTHER BUS STOPS THROUGHOUT OUR REGION. SO THIS WOULD BE A FIRST OF ITS KIND IF WE WERE GO TO SOMETHING SIMILAR WITH THIS STYLE. THE ONE THING THAT IS WORTH NOTING AS WELL, MANY OF THESE SHELTERS ARE RECYCLABLE IN TERMS OF THE MATERIALS BEING MADE OF ALUMINUM. NOT ALL OF THEM ARE MADE OF RECYCLED MATERIALS. SO I WILL HIGHLIGHT WHICH ONES ARE THIS ONE IS NOT RECYCLED MATERIALS, BUT IT'S WORTH NOTING AS WE CONTINUE ON WITH THE STYLE SELECTIONS. THE NEXT ONE IS CALLED THE THEORY SHELTER. UH, THIS IS A VERY, UH, MODULAR, VERY MINIMALIST DESIGN THAT YOU CAN SEE. IT DOESN'T OFFER A LOT OF PROTECTION FROM THE ELEMENTS, BUT IT IS, UH, ONE OF THE OPTIONS THAT ARE OUT THERE FROM THE VENDORS THAT WE USE, UM, FOR OTHER APPLICATIONS IN THE CITY. SO IT MAY NOT BE IDEAL FOR WEATHER PROTECTION, AS I NOTED. UM, IT DOES NOT INCLUDE AN INTEGRATED BENCH, SO THAT'S ANOTHER COST THAT WOULD BE ADDED TO THIS TO STOP. IN PARTICULAR, IT MAY BE MORE SUITED FOR PERHAPS A PARK OR A MOMENT TO TAKE A REST RATHER THAN WAITING FOR A BUS STOP. UM, THAT'S AT LEAST THE, THE INDICATIONS THAT WE GOT AS WE LOOKED AT SOME SAMPLE RENDERINGS AND PHOTOS ON THE, UH, THE, THE, THE WEBSITE. WHILE IT DOES OFFER DISTINCTLY CONTEMPORARY DESIGN FOR THE SHELTER, IT MAY NOT BE COMPATIBLE WITH ALL THE ARCHITECTURE THAT YOU FIND IN DUBLIN IN THE AREAS. SO WE'RE A BIT HESITANT TO SEE THE COMPATIBILITY WITH THIS SHELTER COMPARED TO OTHER SELECTIONS THAT ARE IN THE THE MEMO. UM, AND THEN THIS IS CERTAINLY FOR THE COST. IT'S A BIT MORE EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT WE RECEIVE IN TERMS OF OTHER COMPONENTS THAT OTHER SHELTERS OFFER FOR A SIMILAR PRICE. SO FOR THESE REASONS WE DIDN'T RECOGNIZE, UH, RECOMMEND THIS SHELTER AS A STYLE SELECTION. GOING ON TO THE FOUR STYLE ALTERNATIVE, THIS IS THIS SIGNATURE SUNSET SHELTER. IT DOES BORROW DIFFERENT ELEMENTS OF THE RHINE SHELTER THAT YOU SAW EARLIER. AND THIS IS A CUSTOM SHELTER THAT WE COMBINED WITH ANOTHER TWO OTHER. IT WAS TWO, BASICALLY TWO SHELTERS, THE BEST PARTS OF BOTH THINKING ABOUT THE CITY BRANDING AS WELL AS THE WAY FINDING COMPONENTS. AND THIS IS REALLY UNIQUE SHELTER IN, IN ITSELF. AND SO THE MANUFACTURER WAS ABLE TO DO A NICE RENDERING FOR US TO SHOW WHAT THE CITY, UH, BRANDING WOULD LOOK LIKE ON THIS. UM, FOR EXAMPLE, BUT THIS IS AN ALL ALUMINUM, UH, TRANSIT SHELTER IS, IT IS MADE OF RECYCLED MATERIALS, WHICH IS SOMETHING WORTH NOTING. UM, WHILE THE RE RENDERING DOES SHOW THE GLASS, IT DOES LOOK A LITTLE FROSTED, BUT I ASSURE YOU IT'S IT'S TRANSPARENT GLASS. IT'S JUST THE WAY THE RENDERING WAS, UH, PRODUCED. SO THIS IS IMPORTANT FOR VISIBILITY, WHICH WE NOTED EARLIER. UM, THERE IS LED SOLAR SECURITY LIGHTING THAT IS INTEGRATED AND THERE DOES, THERE IS A BENCH THAT IS ALSO PART OF THE DESIGN. YOU NOTICE THAT WE ARE ABLE TO CARRY FORWARD THE ORION'S WAYFINDING SIGN COMPONENT. UM, IN WHAT I SHOWED YOU IN THE IMAGE EARLIER IS THAT THE SIGN SEEMS TO BE BACK LIT, WHICH IS AN OPTION THAT IS NOT AN OPTION IF YOU GO WITH THE SOLAR POWERED LIGHTING FOR THE TRANSIT SHELTER. THE BACKLIT PANEL WOULD HAVE TO BE HARDWIRED. SO WHAT WE'RE THINKING IS IF WE COULD AS STAFF, IF COUNCIL IS AGREEABLE, USE REFLECTIVE VINYL LETTERING AND IN PLACE TO INDICATE THE WAY FINDING, BUT PERHAPS TO GET AROUND THE SOLAR POWERED CHALLENGE OF PROVIDING THAT BACKLIT BANNER. SO SIMILAR TO, UH, YOU KNOW, IT'S SIMILAR IN COST COMPARED TO OTHER STYLES, BUT WE BELIEVE IT OFFERS MANY FEATURES THAT OTHERS DO NOT. AND SINCE IT'S CONSTRUCTED FROM RECYCLED MATERIALS, WE DO HAVE THIS AS THE RECOMMENDED STYLE ALTERNATIVE FOR THE SHELTERS. THERE ARE TWO MORE THAT I'LL WALK THROUGH QUICKLY. THIS ONE IS CALLED THE CONNECT 2.0 SHELTER. IT IS A PARTNERSHIP THAT WAS WITH THE BMW GROUP DESIGN WORKS AND LANDSCAPE FORMS. IT IS ANOTHER MINIMALIST STYLE WITH A METAL ANGLED ROOF, WHICH CAN BE TEMPERED SAFETY GLASS, BUT MAINTENANCE FOR CLEANING IS A CONCERN IN THAT RESPECT. THERE IS INTEGRATED LED LIGHTING, UH, YOU CAN SEE ON TOP OF THE ROOF, BUT ALSO AT THE FOOT OF THE SHELTER. AND THEN THE POSTS ARE UNIQUE IN THE SENSE THAT THEY'RE TRIANGULAR PRISM SHAPES, UM, RATHER THAN A, UH, SQUARE OR A, UH, CIRCULAR POST. AND AS SHOWN IN THE MEMO, IT COULD BE A BRONZE COLOR AND A VARIETY OF DIFFERENT COLOR APPLICATIONS. THIS IS THE MOST EXPENSIVE STYLE ALTERNATIVE. SO THERE IS, AND THERE IS A [00:25:01] CONCERN WITH MAINTENANCE WITH THIS KIND OF DESIGN, WHICH IS WHY WE DIDN'T RECOMMEND THIS ULTIMATELY AS A STYLE SELECTION. AND THEN FINALLY, THIS IS THE BARCO BARREL ROOF SHELTER. THIS IS VERY REMINISCENT OF WHAT IS EXISTING AT THE CODA PARK AND R TODAY. UM, STAFF DOES NOT RECOMMEND THE STYLE THOUGH BECAUSE CODA HAS INDICATED THAT THEY'RE PHASING OUT THIS STYLE OF SHELTER AND, UH, IT DOESN'T ALSO GO WITH THE ARCHITECTURE THAT IS POPPING AROUND THE OR IS COMING UP, IS DEVELOPING AROUND THE PARK AND RIDE. SO GIVEN ALL THESE, UH, REASONS WE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS OPTION, AND NOT TO MENTION DOESN'T HAVE COMPONENTS, UH, SUCH AS SOLAR LIGHTING. A NICE WAY TO SUMMARIZE EVERYTHING I JUST SAID IS IN THIS TABLE FORM IN FRONT OF YOU. SO TO, UH, THIS TABLE PROVIDES A SNAPSHOT OF EACH ALTERNATIVE RELATIVE TO THE GLASS SIDE PANELS FOR WEATHER PROTECTION, SOLAR LIGHTING, RECYCLED MATERIALS, WAY FINDING COMPONENTS, POTENTIAL FOR CITY BRANDING, PROJECTED COST, AND THE OPTION FOR QUAD OF COOPERATIVE PURCHASING, EXCUSE ME, ONE STYLE MERGES AS THE RECOMMENDATION GIVEN THE AESTHETICS DESIGN COMPONENTS AND THE COST CONSIDERATIONS. AND THAT WOULD BE STYLE FOUR, WHICH IS A SIGNATURE SUNSET AND STAFF RECOMMENDS THIS STYLE ALTERNATIVE FOR THE SHELTER. THIS IS WHAT THE, ALL THE RECOMMENDATION COMPONENTS AND PARTS LOOK TOGETHER. SO TO COMPLIMENT THE SIGNATURE SUNSET TRANSIT SHELTER, WHICH IS RECOMMENDED, UH, STAFF ALSO RECOMMENDS THE BOWL OF BIKE RACK AND THE A 45 TRASH RECEPTACLE. AND IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT COLOR SELECTIONS AND THE FINISHINGS CAN BE ALIGNED WITH, UH, WHATEVER THE FINAL SELECTION IS, WHETHER IT'S MORE OF AN ALUMINUM LOOK OR IF IT'S A BRONZE KIND OF APPLICATION, THINGS OF THAT NATURE. I'LL TALK ABOUT THE SIDEWALK ENSEMBLE ROAD AS WELL. GUIDANCE FROM THE PUBLIC SERVICES COMMITTEE INCLUDED IMPROVING THE BUS STOP THAT IS LOCATED IN FRONT OF GERMAINE HONDA. GIVEN THE PROXIMITY TO THE DUBLIN FOOD PANTRY, THERE WAS A DISCUSSION ABOUT THE PATRONS OF THE DUBLIN FOOD PANTRY USING THIS BUS STOP. IN ORDER TO PROCEED WITH THIS STOP, THOUGH, WE CODA REQUIRES A SIDEWALK BE CONSTRUCTED TO MEET FEDERAL AND STATE ACCESSIBILITY STANDARDS. SO CONSTRUCTION FOR A SIX FOOT SIDEWALK ON SOME MILL ROADS SAW MILL ROADS SPANNING FROM GERMAIN HONDA TO BRIDGE PARK AVENUE. TO PROVIDE THAT CONNECTION TO THE DUBLIN FOOD PANTRY IS ESTIMATED TO COST $140,000 FUNDING IN THE TWO. THE 2024 TO 2028 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM ALLOCATES $157,000 TOTAL FOR THIS PROGRAM. $25,000 HAS BEEN SPENT ON THE DESIGN PORTION, THE DETAILED DESIGN OF THE BUS STOPS, AND THEN THAT REMAINS $132,000 FOR UTILITY RELOCATION AND CONSTRUCTION OF THE BUS STOP LOCATIONS. LOOKING AT THE PROJECT FUNDING FOR THIS IN PARTICULAR, THERE IS SUFFICIENT FUNDING BUDGETED TO IMPROVE FOUR OF THE FIVE BUS STOPS USING THE STAFF RECOMMENDED STYLES, NOT INCLUDING THE SIDEWALK, SIDEWALK ROAD, OR EXCUSE ME, THE SOMO ROAD SIDEWALK FOR PROJECT EFFICIENCY SUCH AS PURCHASING THE FURNISHINGS, UM, THE CONSTRUCTION PROCESSES AND THINGS OF THAT NATURE. STAFF RECOMMENDS PROCEEDING WITH ALL FIVE LOCATIONS AT THIS TIME AND THE SOMO ROAD SIDEWALK, THEY NEEDED ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR BOTH THE EAST BRIDGE STREET AND DALE DRIVE LOCATION. AND THE SIDEWALK PROJECT IS AVAILABLE FROM THE UNENCUMBERED AVAILABLE BALANCE IN THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS FUND. CURRENT APPROPRIATIONS ARE SUFFICIENT TO COMPLETE THIS PROJECT, BUT IF ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS ARE NEEDED, IT'LL BE BROUGHT FORWARD, UH, IN A FINAL SUPPLEMENTAL. FOR NEXT STEPS. WE'LL CONTINUE TO WORK WITH DYNO TECH, THE DESIGNER, TO INCORPORATE THE STYLE SELECTIONS AND COMPLETE THE DETAILED DESIGN. WE'LL CONTINUE WORK THE LEGAL TEAM TO OBTAIN THE NEEDED EASEMENTS FOR THE PRO PROPOSED SIDEWALK ON SAW MILL ROAD. AND WE'LL CONTINUE TO EVALUATE THE BEST WAY TO IMPLEMENT THIS PROJECT. GIVEN THE COST AND OTHER WAYS OF IMPLEMENTING IMPLEMENTATION. UM, STAFF WILL PROCURE THE SITE WORK AND INSTALLATION TO THE SHELTERS AND, UH, ALL THE EQUIPMENT ASSOCIATED FOR MACHINES AT THE SPECIFIC SPECIFIC LOCATIONS. SO FOR THE RECOMMENDATION STAFF IS SEEKING FEEDBACK REGARDING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS. IS THE COUNCIL SUPPORTIVE OF THE STYLE REC, THE RECOMMENDED STYLE SELECTIONS, UM, OF STAFF? THAT WOULD INCLUDE THE BOWL OF BIKE RACK, THE 8 45 TRASH RECEPTACLE USING THE SIGNATURE SUNSET TRANSIT SHELTER, AND INCLUDING THE FIFTH LOCATION IN THE OVERALL IN SIDEWALK IN THE OVERALL PROJECTS. THANK YOU AND HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS. VERY GOOD. IS THERE ANYONE PRESENT THIS EVENING THAT WOULD LIKE TO MAKE COMMENT RELATIVE TO THIS PRESENTATION? HEARING NONE COUNCIL QUESTIONS, DISCUSSION. CAN YOU EXPLAIN THE COOPERATIVE PRICING? IS THIS A PARTNERSHIP WITH COLUMBUS OR CODA? WHERE THEY SHARING THE COST OR HOW, [00:30:01] HOW DOES THAT WORK? THERE ARE CERTAIN VENDORS THAT OFFER QUANTITATIVE COOPERATIVE PURCHASING THAT WOULD PROVIDE A DISCOUNT FOR PURCHASING SOME OF THOSE, UH, THOSE EQUIPMENT OR SHELTERS. COOPERATIVE PURCHASING IS A PROCUREMENT METHOD THAT'S AUTHORIZED BY THE CHARTER AND CODE. SO FOR EXAMPLE, ODOT WILL BID ROAD SALT AND PER OUR RULES, WE WOULD BE PERMITTED TO PIGGYBACK ON THEIR COMPETITIVE BIDDING PROCESS. SO THAT HELPS GET MORE QUANTITIES AND HOPEFULLY THAT DRIVES THE PRICE DOWN. SO WE ARE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR OTHER COOPERATIVE PURCHASING, UM, OPPORTUNITIES ALL AROUND THE COUNTRY. WE, WE PARTICIPATE WITH CITY STATES, UM, PURCHASING CONSORTIUMS LIKE SWAP 4G FOR SALT AND THINGS LIKE THAT. MAKES SENSE. SECOND QUESTION, THE LOOP BIKE RACK, WHY ARE YOU NOT PREFERRING THAT OPTION OF THE FIVE LOCATIONS? THE LOOP BIKE RACK IS MOST REMINISCENT OF SOMETHING YOU FIND IN BRIDGE STREET DISTRICT, AT LEAST CURRENTLY TODAY, TWO OF THE LOCATIONS ARE NORTH OF TWO 70 ON SALE MILL ROAD, SO THOSE WOULD BE OUTSIDE THE BRIDGE STREET DISTRICT, WHICH IS WHY WE DIDN'T NECESSARILY WANNA RECOMMEND THAT STYLE. I JUST WANTED TO POINT OUT ONE COMMENT. UM, WHAT WE TALKED ABOUT IN PUBLIC SERVICES WAS WHAT WE'RE REALLY OUT IS THE CONCRETE PAD. ALL OF THE, LIKE, IF WE DECIDE LATER WE WANNA MOVE THESE SHELTERS TO ELSEWHERE IN THE CITY, LET'S SAY IT'S THE, THE TRANSIT NUMBERS CHANGE, UM, YOU KNOW, WE CAN MOVE ALL OF THIS EQUIPMENT. THE ONLY THING WE'RE OUT, WELL OBVIOUSLY THE SIDEWALK ON SOME ROAD THAT'S, BUT THE CONCRETE PAD IS WHAT WE'RE OUT OF THE COST PER THING. SO IF WE FIND WE NEED THE SHELTER MORE, SAY IN METRO LATER, WE CAN MOVE THEM. BUT THE BIKE RACKS PROBABLY NOT SO MUCH THEY'RE SET IN CONCRETE, CORRECT? I DON'T, YEAH, I DON'T KNOW HOW THEY'RE ADHERED. THIS DESIGN IS ADHERED. OKAY. BUT FIRST THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR, THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR WORK ON THIS. WE'VE BEEN, WE'VE BEEN DOING THIS FOR A WHILE WHEN THE PUBLIC SERVICES, I HAD, UM, TWO COMMENTS. UM, UH, YOU KNOW, I, THERE'S CIRCULAR BIKE RACKS RIGHT OUT HERE THAT I USE ALL THE TIME. UH, THEY'RE VERY COOL LOOKING. I THINK THEY'RE MUCH BETTER LOOKING THAN THE OTHER ONES. SO SINCE WE HAVE SOME, UH, THAT WOULD JUST BE THE OTHER ONES LOOK LIKE, NOT DUBLIN, THAT'S JUST MY 2 CENTS. UM, BUT TO YOUR POINT ABOUT BEING ABLE TO SECURE THEM AS FAR MORE IMPORTANT THAN ALMOST ANYTHING. SO IF THAT'S THE CASE, UM, I ACTUALLY LIKE THE ALTERNATIVE STYLE NUMBER TWO VERSUS THE OTHER ONE. AND, AND I HAVE ONE REALLY REASON FOR THAT IS IT GIVES YOU 360 VISIBILITY TO WHAT'S BEHIND YOU SIDE YOU NEXT TO YOU. SO FROM A SAFETY PERSPECTIVE, I THINK THAT IS GOOD. UM, I THINK IT'S, I THINK IT'S MUCH SLEEKER LOOKING. I THINK IT'S MUCH MORE DOUBLE AND ESQUE THAN THE OTHERS. AND EUROPEAN, IT'S MORE A EUROPEAN ESQUE. AND SO TO ME, I JUST THINK IT'S, I I JUST THINK IT'S A BETTER LOOKING AND AGAIN, FROM A, I JUST WROTE, WHEN I WAS LOOKING AT IT FROM A SAFETY PERSPECTIVE, I'D WANNA KNOW WHO'S BEHIND. I, I JUST THINK THAT MAKES A LOT OF GOOD SENSE. SO, UM, YOU SAID THE OTHER ONE WAS FROSTED, SO IT'S NOT OPAQUE. IT'S, IT'S, IT'S NOT FROSTED. IT'S ALSO TRANSPARENT LIKE THIS, UH, IS IT, IS IT GLASS LIKE THIS? YES, IT IS. THE RENDERING MADE IT LOOK LIKE IT WAS FROSTED, SO I APOLOGIZE FOR THAT. BUT IT'S, IT'S A CLEAR CLASS. IT'S A TEMPERED CLASS. IT IS. SO IT'S EXACTLY LIKE, YEAH. IN FACT IT, IT'S A SIBLING OF THIS DESIGN AS WELL. THEY'RE VERY SIMILAR STYLE OF FOREIGN STYLE TOO. YEAH. I, I JUST THINK THIS ONE LOOKS BETTER. I VERY MUCH LIKE THE SIGNAGE AT THE TOP FROM A WAYFINDING PERSPECTIVE. I, I THINK IT'S JUST SLICKER LOOKING. UM, THAT'S MY 2 CENTS. AND IT COSTS THE SAME. SO OTHER COMMENTS? YES, YOUR, I I CAN'T REALLY JUST EXPLAIN THE DIFFERENCE OTHER THAN RECYCLED BECAUSE AS UH, KATHY WAS SAYING, IT SEEMS AS IF THEY'RE ALMOST IDENTICAL EXCEPT FOR A FEW NUANCES IN THE DESIGN. BUT, UH, IS THAT A LIT SIGNAGE AT THE TOP AND THE OTHER ONE IS NOT? SO THE, EXCUSE ME, THE OTHER ONE IS NOT BECAUSE WE'D BE RELYING ON SOLAR POWER. SO, SO THAT OPTION IS AVAILABLE, BUT IT HAS TO BE HARDWIRED, IT CAN'T BE SOLAR POWERED. THE LIT BACK, UH, THE LIT REAR BANNER, UM, WE COULD PROVIDE AN ALTERNATIVE WHICH WOULD BE THE REFLECTIVE VINYL LETTERING RATHER THAN A LID. SO DOES OPTION NUMBER TWO REQUIRE HARD WIRING AS WELL AS OPTION NUMBER FOUR OR ONLY TWO, OR ONLY FOUR, I'M SORRY, REQUIRE HARD WIRING AND TWO DOES NOT REQUIRE HARD W WIRING. NEITHER BOTH HAVE SOLAR OPTIONS. THE DIFFERENCE IS THE SOLAR OPTION ONLY POWERS THE [00:35:01] SECURITY LIGHTING AND THE AMBIENT LIGHTING IN THE SHELTER. THE BACKLIT COMPONENT WOULD HAVE TO BE HARDWIRED IN BOTH TWO AND FOUR. CORRECT. BUT HONESTLY, THE WAY THE BUS RUNS NOW, THEY DON'T RUN AT NIGHT. SO I DON'T KNOW THAT THAT'S UNDER, I MEAN, I DON'T KNOW WHEN THE LAST RUN THROUGH THOSE IS, BUT, BUT DURING THE DAY YOU WOULD SEE IT AS AS WAYFINDING. RIGHT. SO I DON'T KNOW THAT WE WOULD HAVE TO SPEND THE MONEY FROM LIGHTING JUST AT THE CURRENT MAYBE IN THE FUTURE, BUT, AND WHY I HAVE THIS, I'M FOR PAVING THE ROAD TO SIDEWALK, IT JUST SEEMS LIKE THE RIGHT THING TO DO. I WAS GONNA SAY, I HAVE NO PREFERENCE TWO VERSUS FOUR REALLY. I JUST, I I I WOULD WANT TO PUT THE DUBLIN BRANDING ON IT SOMEWHERE. SO ON THAT SIGN BANNER, IF WE DO TWO THEN WE NEED TO PUT DUBLIN ON THAT. WE HAVE A SMALLER LOCATION TO PUT HERE. WE COULD HAVE DUBLIN ON THE GLASS BACK PANEL AND THEN WE COULD PUT THE STREET ABOVE IT ON TWO, YOU'D HAVE TO GET DUBLIN AND THE STREET OR WHATEVER ON THE SAME PANEL. AND, AND YOU KNOW, THE ONLY THING IS THESE THINGS GET DIRTY, THEY JUST WILL 'CAUSE OF THE WEATHER. SO, UH, I THINK THAT SMALLER BRANDING IS BETTER, QUITE CANDIDLY, JUST FROM A IMAGE PERSPECTIVE. I MEAN, IT'S GONNA RAIN, IT'S GONNA, IT'S GONNA DO THE THING. IS THERE A MAINTENANCE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE DARK UH, ROOF AND THE LIGHT ROOF ON TWO? I DON'T BELIEVE SO. OKAY. THEY'RE, THEY'RE VERY SIMILAR IN DESIGN AS COUNCILMAN FOX NOTED. UM, STYLE FOUR IS MADE OF RECYCLED MATERIALS WHILE STYLE TWO IS NOT. I'D SAY THAT'S THE BIGGEST DIFFERENCE. YEAH, I WAS JUST WONDERING. 'CAUSE YOU KNOW, ON ONE YOU'VE GOT LEAVES FALLING DOWN ON IT, THEY'RE GONNA LIE UP THERE. YOU MAY NOT SEE IT ON THE OTHER ONE THOUGH. I THINK NUMBER TWO IS MORE EURO COOL AND CLEANER LOOKING FOR A DESIGN. ACTUALLY THAT'S A GOOD POINT. IS ON TWO, IS IT GLASS OR IS IT GLASS ON THE ROOF? IS THAT, IS THAT CLEAR GLASS ON TWO? IT'S, YES, IT'S A TRANS TRANSPARENT GLASS, BUT ON FOUR IT'S SOLID. IT'S A BLACK SOLID. IT DEFINE, UH, STYLE TWOS DESCRIBED AS A CURVED, TRANSLUCENT, TINTED RADIUS ROOF TRANSLUCENT. OKAY. AND FOUR IS NOT, FOUR IS NOT FOUR IS A DARK, IT'S A DARK CORRECT METAL BECAUSE TO, TO JOHN'S POINT, IT WILL GET COVERED IN LEAVES AND THERE'LL BE A LOT OF STUFF ON THE ROOF. DO YOU WANNA SEE THE STUFF ON THE ROOF? WELL, I WISH THERE WAS TREES AROUND IT, BUT I DON'T THINK THERE IS. SO, WELL THE ONE ON, THE ONE ON SAW ROAD, DEFINITELY THE ONE, UM, BY HARD IN SAWMILL WILL DEFINITELY HAVE TREES, IS RIGHT BY A LOT OF TREES AND WILL BE COVERED IN LEAVES. OKAY. I I TEND TO LEAN TOWARDS STYLE TWO AS WELL. I, LET'S GIVE HIM SOME DIRECTION. OKAY. ARE THERE, THERE'S ONE, TWO SHAKES OF THE HEAD FOR YEAH, I MEAN I, I I'M PRETTY AGNOSTIC BETWEEN THE TWO. I DO WORRY ABOUT THE, THE CLEANING ASPECT OF NUMBER TWO, BUT UM, IF THAT'S WHAT THE REST OF COUNCIL WANTS AND TWO IS FINE, I JUST, TO ME THERE'S NOT ENOUGH OF A DIFFERENCE TO REALLY WANNA DIE ON THAT HILL. I ALSO WANNA MAKE THE POINT THAT EITHER ROOF IS INTERCHANGEABLE. YOU CAN EITHER DO THE SOLID METAL OR YOU CAN DO THE TEMPERED GLASS SINCE IT'S THE SAME MANUFACTURER, THEN I'D BE TWO. I JUST DIDN'T LIKE THE LIGHT NUMBER TWO WITH THE SOLID ROOFING MATERIAL INSTEAD OF GLASS. OKAY. AND THEN I, I JUST HAD ONE QUESTION. SO YOU HAD TRASH RECEPTACLES. UM, ARE THERE RECYCLING RECEPTACLES, WILL THEY BE LOCATED IN THESE AS WELL OR JUST A SINGLE TRASH? UH, RIGHT NOW IT'S SINGLE TRASH. OKAY. BUT, UH, THAT'S FOLLOWING THE TRANSIT, THE GUY, THE GUIDE FROM CODA. BUT AGAIN, IF WE'RE MAINTAINING THESE STATE UH, SHELTERS OR THESE STATIONS, I THINK THERE'S OPPORTUNITY FOR BOTH. ARE THERE ANY UNITS THAT ARE CO YOU KNOW, WHERE HALF OF IT IS RECYCLED AND THE OTHER HALF IS TRASH IN ONE SINGLE UNIT? I'M SURE WE CAN FIND A UNIT THAT'S APPROPRIATE. I THINK THERE ARE SOME SOMEWHERE IN THE CITY. I KNOW THERE ARE THOUGH. I HAVE SEEN THEM THROUGHOUT TOWN. YEAH. YEAH. SO I, I WOULD, I'D LIKE TO SEE THAT AS AN OPTION. 'CAUSE A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE SITTING THERE DRINKING OUT OF A, YOU KNOW, A, A PLASTIC BOTTLE OR SOMETHING OF SORTS AND CAN DISCARD IT IN THE RECYCLE BIN. IF, IF THAT'S AN OPTION. I THINK HAVING TWO RECEPTACLES THERE IS A BIT OF AN OVERKILL. BUT IF YOU COULD HAVE ONE RECEPTACLE WOULD DUAL PURPOSE, THAT WOULD BE NICE. YEAH. WHEN YOU UH, PICK THOSE, IT USUALLY, SO IT IS NOT ON A VISUAL IMPAIRMENT. USUALLY IT'LL TELL YOU AT THE TOP. AND IF YOU COULD FIND THAT RECEPTACLE, I'VE SEEN IT IN A LOT OF AIRPORTS. NORMALLY ONE HALF BLUE HALF WHERE IT TELLS YOU THIS SIDE IS, YOU KNOW, RECYCLING THE SIDE IS WASTE AND THAT WAY YOU DON'T READ IT ON THE SIDE. OKAY. JIM, DID YOU GET THE FEEDBACK YOU NEED TO EXECUTE? UH, WAS THERE CONSENSUS ON THE BIKE RACKS? I LIKE THE LOOP. I LIKE THE [00:40:01] LOOP ONES TOO. MM-HMM. VERSUS THE U-SHAPED AND THE SIDEWALK. I THINK THE SIDEWALK'S IMPORTANT. I'VE SEEN PEOPLE TRYING TO GET UP AND DOWN SAW MILL ROAD AND, AND THAT, THAT ROAD NEEDS A SIDEWALK. WE'RE, WE'RE GOING TO BE A PEDESTRIAN FRIENDLY COMMUNITY FOR $150,000 OR WHATEVER THAT NUMBER IS. IT'S THE RIGHT THING TO DO. YEAH. OKAY. DO YOU HAVE EVERYTHING YOU NEED FROM US? YES. THANK YOU SO MUCH. THANK YOU. ALRIGHT. IT SOUNDS LIKE IT WILL. IT'S IN THIS CIP REVENUES, SO WE PLAN TO, UH, BID THE PROJECT LATER THIS FALL AND COME BACK TO YOU WITH THAT RESULT WITH THE WORK ANTICIPATED TO BEGIN IN EARLY 2025. OKAY. UM, AND ONE LOCATION AT BRIGHT AND SAWMILL WILL BE COMPLETE WITH THE INTERSECTION WORK IN SEPTEMBER. SO FOUR WILL BE DONE QUICKER AND THEN ONE WILL BE REMAINING FOR SEPTEMBER. WELL, THANKS FOR DOING THAT. I, YOU SEE A LOT OF PEOPLE, YOU KNOW, I THINK BUS USAGE IS CREEPING UP A LITTLE BIT AND YOU SEE PEOPLE TRYING TO NAVIGATE AROUND THESE SPACES AND WE HAVEN'T ACCOMMODATED 'EM THAT WELL THUS FAR. SO IT'S A GOOD STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. OKAY. THE BRINGS US TO, UH, AND WE DID NOT NEED TO VOTE ON THAT. IT BRINGS US TO STAFF COMMENTS. [STAFF COMMENTS] GOOD EVENING, MEMBERS OF COUNCIL. THANK YOU FOR THAT FEEDBACK. AND ALSO THANK YOU TO THE PUBLIC SERVICES COMMITTEE FOR VETTING ALL OF THAT OVER THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS. WE'RE EXCITED TO GET THOSE IMPLEMENTED. SO I JUST HAVE ONE COMMENT THIS EVENING AND THAT'S REGARDING THE CITY OF COLUMBUS FOURTH WATER PLANT TRANSMISSION MAINS PROJECT. CITY OF COLUMBUS IS CONTRACTED WITH MS CONSULTANTS, GRESHAM SMITH, ALDEA, AND MOODY ENGINEERING TO CONDUCT ECOLOGICAL SURVEYS AND SITE VISITS ALONG THE TWO WATER TRANSMISSION MAIN ALIGNMENTS THROUGH THE END OF THIS YEAR, THE FIRST TRANSMISSION MAIN ALIGNMENT WITHIN THE CITY OF DUBLIN CORPORATION LIMITS UTILIZES MUIRFIELD TO ASBA AL TO BRAND, BRAND TO KAUFMAN, KAUFMAN TO EMERALD, EMERALD TO WARNER TEMPLE AND WARNER TEMPLE, UM, RINGS ROAD TO FRANZ ROAD. THE SECOND TRANSMISSION MAIN ALIGNMENT WITHIN THE CITY OF DUBLIN CORPORATION LIMITS UTILIZES MUIRFIELD TO POST, POST TO EMERALD, EMERALD TO DUBLIN, DUBLIN TO TOLLER TOLLER TO DUBLIN CENTER DRIVE, DUBLIN CENTER DRIVE TO SAWMILL. SO THOSE ARE THE ROUTES THAT WE HAD PREVIOUSLY, UM, SHARED AS PART OF THE COLUMBUS PRESENTATION AND OTHER DISCUSSIONS. ALL OF THE WORK THAT'S GOING TO BE OCCURRING OVER THE NEXT FEW MONTHS IS ANTICIPATED TO BE WITHIN THE PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY. POSTCARDS WERE RECENTLY MAILED TO AFFECTED RESIDENTS ALONG THOSE ROUTES, AND IN THE EVENT THAT ACCESS TO PRIVATE PROPERTY IS REQUIRED, THE CITY OF COLUMBUS TEAM WILL NOTIFY AND COORDINATE WITH THOSE PRIVATE PROPERTY OWNERS PRIOR TO INITIATING ANY WORK. SO I WANTED TO UPDATE YOU ALL ON THOSE EFFORTS AND MAKE YOU AWARE THAT POSTCARDS HAD BEEN SENT OUT AND THAT THERE ARE COMMUNICATIONS ONGOING BETWEEN CITY OF COLUMBUS PROJECT AND OUR RESIDENTS. AND THAT IS ALL I HAVE FOR THIS EVENING TONIGHT. THANK YOU. VERY GOOD. THANK YOU. COUNCIL LIAISON [COUNCIL REPORTS] REPORTS, WE WILL START WITH MR. ROSA. GREAT, THANK YOU. SO THE US 33 QUARTER MET A WEEK AGO FRIDAY. UM, PLAIN CITY HOSTED US. I WILL TELL YOU THIS, EVERY TIME YOU GO TO PLAIN CITY, THEY HOST US. THERE'S SOMETHING NEW GOING ON. THEY HAVE, THEY HAVE REALLY ACCELERATED BOTH THEIR DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT. THERE'S SEVERAL NEW, UM, UH, VENDORS AND RESTAURANTS AND BARS OPENING THERE. AND THEIR HISTORIC AREA, PROBABLY OF MOST SIGNIFICANCE, AS I BELIEVE THEIR COUNCILS, UH, HEARING IT THIS EVENING, IS AN ANNEXATION OF 550 ACRES FOR COMMERCIAL USE. IT'S, UH, OFF OF 42, THAT'S CALLED THE CLEARVIEW COMMERCE PARK. IT WILL BE A COMMERCIAL PARK IN SORT OF TWO PHASES. THE FIRST ONE ABOUT THREE 30 ACRES, THERE IS NO RESIDENTIAL INCLUDED. SO THIS WILL BE A, UM, I WOULD SAY ONE OF THEIR FIRST BIG COMMERCE COMMERCIAL AREAS. AND SO, UM, THAT, THAT AGAIN, WILL, WILL COME BEFORE THE GROUP, I THINK TONIGHT FOR, UM, AN ANNEXATION DISCUSSION. UM, THE OTHER THING THAT'S PROBABLY INTERESTING TO NOTE IS THEY CONTINUE TO DO, UM, HOUSING DEVELOPMENTS THERE. THEIR CURRENT POPULATION'S ROUGHLY 4,500. WHEN THESE ARE FINISHED, THE ONES THAT ARE APPROVED OR IN PROCESS WILL MORE THAN DOUBLE THE POPULATION OF PLAIN CITY. UM, INTERESTING. I ASKED THE QUESTION, UM, WHAT PERCENTAGE REALLY ARE A MULTIFAMILY OF THAT HOUSING? AND IT'S REALLY QUITE LOW ACTUALLY. IT'S CONTINUES TO BE A SINGLE FAMILY, ALTHOUGH YOU'RE GONNA SEE TOWNHOUSES IN SOME DIFFERENT DESIGNS, BUT, UM, CONTINUED. SO, UM, A LOT OF DEVELOPMENT THAT'S WILL HAVE SIGNIFICANT IMPACT ON THEIR WATER AND A VARIETY OF THINGS THERE. SO, UM, AGAIN, GROWTH IN ALL OF AREAS, BUT PLAIN CITY HAS, HAS REALLY PUT ON, PUT ON THE GAS A LITTLE WHILE. SO, UM, SECONDLY FROM A PLANNING AND ZONING PERSPECTIVE, THERE WAS THE ANNUAL TRAINING OF ALL THE COMMISSIONS LAST WEEK, AND THIS IS ONBOARDING. WE HAVE A LOT OF NEW FOLKS ON, [00:45:01] ON ALL OF OUR COMMISSIONS. SO THAT OCCURRED LAST WEEK. WE HAVE A JOINT MEETING WITH THEM, WHICH YOU RECALL. WE'RE STILL LOOKING TO SCHEDULE. WE NEED A DATE FOR THAT BE. IT WAS GOING TO BE IN SEPTEMBER. BUT, UM, AGAIN, WE'RE ASKING THEM TO DO SOME ANNUAL REPORTING AND SO WE'RE, WE'RE SEEKING A DATE, BUT WE'LL, WE'LL GET THAT OUT TO YOU HERE, SOME OPTIONS, UM, IN THE NEAR FUTURE. SO THANK YOU. THANK YOU. UH, JANE, 33 CORRIDOR GROUP AND BOARD OF EDUCATION. I WAS ON VACATION, SO I WILL NOT BE REPORTING ON EITHER ONE OF THOSE. ANDY WILL BE REPORTING ON THAT ON UH, BOARD OF EDUCATION. VERY GOOD. WE'LL GO TO MR. KEELER, THE BOARD OF EDUCATION, LOGAN UNION, CHAMPAIGN COUNTY REGIONAL PLANNING COMMISSION. SO, UH, THE COUNCIL AND SCHOOL BOARD LIAISON COMMITTEE MET LAST THURSDAY. IT WAS A VERY PRODUCTIVE AND ENCOURAGING MEETING. WE CELEBRATED THE CITY AND SCHOOL'S ONGOING COLLABORATION ON THE COMMUNITY HEALTH NEEDS ASSESSMENT, CASHIO HIGHLAND CROIX TRAFFIC SIGNAL PROJECT, AND THE OUTSTANDING PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND THE SCHOOLS. THE SCHOOLS HAVE A SOLID TWO-PRONGED PLAN IN PLACE TO ADDRESS GROWTH WITHIN THE DISTRICT, STARTING WITH AN RFP FOR DESIGN ON THE EXPANSION OF CIO HIGH SCHOOL, WHICH WILL ADDRESS THE MORE IMMEDIATE NEEDS WITH RESPECT TO HIGH SCHOOL CAPACITY WITHOUT THE NEED TO PASS ANOTHER LEVY IN THE NEAR TERM. AND THE LONGER TERM, THE SCHOOL WILL CONTINUE TO EXPLORE OPTIONS FOR A FOURTH HIGH SCHOOL. THE CARDINAL HEALTH WEST BUILDING WILL CONTINUE TO BE ONE OF SEVERAL LONG-TERM OPTIONS TO BE EXPLORED. WHILE IT'S CLEAR THAT THE COST TO CONVERT THAT SITE TO A TRUE FOURTH HIGH SCHOOL WILL NECESSITATE ANOTHER LEVY AT THAT TIME, THE SUPERINTENDENT SENT OUT AN EMAIL TODAY THANKING FOCUS GROUP MEMBERS AND MORE OR LESS LAID OUT ALL THE BULLET POINTS THAT I JUST DID, BUT I'M GONNA HIGHLIGHT SOME OF THOSE. THEY HAVE A SHORT TERM STRATEGY, WHICH IS TO BUILD AN ADDITION ON DUBLIN SIDE OF HIGH SCHOOL. THIS SHORT TERM SOLUTION WILL NOT REQUIRE ADDITIONAL LEVIES AND THEIR LONG TERM STRATEGY WILL EXPLORE OPTIONS FOR FUTURE GROWTH, UM, INCLUDING CONSTRUCTING A NEW HIGH SCHOOL ON AN ALTERNATIVE SITE, UM, THE CARDINAL HEALTH BUILDING OR, UH, DISTRICT OWNED LAND ON INDUSTRIAL PARKWAY. BUT, UH, THIS LONG TERM SOLUTION WILL REQUIRE A LEVY. UM, THE GIST OF THIS UPDATE IS BEING PROVIDED AT THE SCHOOL BOARD MEETING THIS EVENING, AS ALL AS HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE CASE. WE WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THE SCHOOL DISTRICT WHERE WE CAN AND DO WHAT WE CAN TO HELP THEM DEAL WITH THE CHALLENGES THEY FACE WITH RESPECT TO GROWTH AND ENROLLMENT. THANK YOU. ANYTHING ON LOGAN UNION, CHAMPAIGN COUNTY? NOTHING TO REPORT MR. REER DUBLIN ARTS COUNCIL AND VETERANS COMMITTEE. YEAH, THE, UM, CURRENT EXHIBIT IS THE EARTH UP CLOSE. AND I JUST WANNA SAY THAT, UH, WORKING WITH MATT, IT LOOKS LIKE THIS IS SOMETHING THAT THE DOUBLE ARTS COUNCIL HAD WANTED FOR THE LAST THREE OR FOUR YEARS, A BAN SHELL FOR CCIO PARK AND WE'RE, IT LOOKS LIKE WE'RE GETTING A LITTLE CLOSER TO THAT AND, UM, I KNOW WE PUT AWAY $200,000 FOR THAT PARTICULAR THING AND WE MIGHT BE ABLE TO GET THAT FOR AS LITTLE AS $20,000. SO WE'LL SEE HOW THIS ALL TURNS OUT. IT'S PRETTY EXCITING. SO, UH, THEY'VE GOT AN ENGINEERING STUDY UNDERWAY FOR THE, UH, CONCRETE WORKS, SO WE MAY HAVE FOUND A WAY TO GET AROUND THAT HUGE EXPENSE. THANK YOU, MS. CRA, WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW BOARD. I ATTENDED THE AUGUST 13TH WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP MEETING. UH, THE BULK OF THAT MEETING WAS SPENT GOING OVER THEIR NEW DEI INITIATIVE. BASICALLY, THEY'RE TRYING TO UP RECRUITING. I DON'T KNOW IF YOU'VE SEEN THE, THE STATE OF OHIO IS ALSO UP LIKE TRYING TO DO RECRUITING ON, UM, FIREFIGHTERS AND EMTS. WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP IS AS WELL, BUT MORE SPECIFICALLY TRYING TO DIVERSIFY THEIR WORKFORCE. SO THEY HAVE BEEN IN MEETINGS WITH THE SCHOOLS, I KNOW THEY'VE BEEN IN TOUCH WITH THE CITY, UM, AND VARIOUS COMMUNITY PARTNERS ON HOW TO GET THE WORD OUT TO MORE PEOPLE TO JOIN THE FIRE DEPARTMENT. UH, AS FAR AS THE ARCHITECTURE REVIEW BOARD THIS WEEK, THEY'RE REVIEWING A SECOND ROUND OF CODE CHANGES FOR THE HISTORIC DISTRICT. UH, SOME, SOME VARIOUS MODIFICATIONS. UH, HOPEFULLY THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THEY'VE SEEN IT, SO IT SHOULD BE GOING TO PLANNING AND ZONING IN SEPTEMBER, WHICH MEANS WE SHOULD PROBABLY SEE IT IN OCTOBER. AND THAT'S ALL I HAVE. VERY GOOD, THANK YOU. AND FOR MORSEY, UM, I WILL JUST SHARE THAT ON THE 22ND OF THIS MONTH, WE HAD OUR REGIONAL POLICY ROUNDTABLE. MEGAN AND I BOTH ATTENDED THAT MEETING AND, UH, WE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO, UM, RECOGNIZE, UH, MY, OUR CONGRESSMAN MIKE CAREY, UM, IN SOME OF HIS EFFORTS ON HELPING US FUND A FEW, UH, FEW ITEMS AROUND TOWN. SO, UM, THAT WILL BE IT FOR THE MORSEY REPORT. AND I WILL START [COUNCIL ROUNDTABLE] WITH COUNCIL ROUND TABLE. AMY, YOU WANNA, UH, YEAH, THE ONLY THING I'LL, UH, JUST MAKE A BRIEF COMMENT THAT LAST WEEK ON THE, ON WEDNESDAY THE 21ST, WE DID A VIRTUAL [00:50:01] MEETING WITH SOME RESIDENTS OF COVENTRY WOODS REGARDING THE ULTA FIBER INSTALLATION. WE HAD EXCELLENT ATTENDANCE FROM THE CITY AND ULTA FIBER AND UTILITY QUEST AND COLUMBIA GAS. UH, WE GOT A LOT OF, UH, ISSUES OUT THERE AND RECOGNIZED AND WE'RE IN THE PROCESS OF FOLLOWING UP FROM THAT MEETING. AND HOPEFULLY, YOU KNOW, THIS IS ONE NEIGHBORHOOD, BUT THE INFORMATION WE'RE LEARNING FROM THIS INSTALL AND THE DELIVERABLES WE'RE COMING UP WITH WILL BE ABLE TO BE USED IN OTHER NEIGHBORHOODS AS WE GO FORWARD. SO I BELIEVE ALL OF YOU HAVE BEEN SEEING THE EMAILS. MEGAN'S BEEN SENDING SOME UPDATES, BUT IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, WELCOME TO ASK ME. GREAT, THANKS AMY. JANE? NO, UM, I'VE BEEN ON VACATION. I JUST WANT TO REMIND FOLKS, WE'VE BEEN GETTING QUITE A FEW EMAILS ON THE RIVERSIDE CROSSING PARK COMMENTS, AND AUGUST 29TH IS A PUBLIC MEETING AT THE PAVILION AT RIVERSIDE CROSSING PARK, AND I THINK IT BEGINS AT SIX FOR ANYONE WHO'S INTERESTED. VERY GOOD. THANK YOU. JOHN. UM, ON THE, UM, AND I DID FORGOT TO MENTION THIS, FOR THE, UM, VETERANS ASSOCIATION, THE VETERANS GROUP, UH, JOHN MARCH HAUSEN HAS SENT IN A REQUEST TO THE UNITED STATES AIR FORCE THAT IF WE POSSIBLY CAN, OUR JUNIOR ROTC PROGRAM WILL BE FOR, WILL BE IN AN AIR FORCE PROGRAM. UNFORTUNATELY, FOR THE MARINES AND THE ARMY AND THE NAVY, UH, IT LOOKS LIKE IT'S AIR FORCE. SO, UH, IT TAKES ABOUT A YEAR FOR APPROVAL TO GET THAT. AND, UH, THEN IF YOU HAVEN'T READ IT YET, UM, GOT GREAT NEWS FOR THE DUBLIN RESIDENTS. WE, UH, PROBABLY LOOK BACK ON MANY OF OUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS. UH, THE FIRST REC CENTER, IT'S THE FIRST CITY TO HAVE A COMPREHENSIVE REC CENTER AND THE FIRST CITY TO HAVE A, THE COMPREHENSIVE LANDSCAPE ORDINANCE AND, UH, BICYCLE TRAIL SILVER, UM, AWARD, SILVER AWARD FOR THAT BRIDGE STREET CORRIDOR. AND IT GOES ON AND ON AND ON. PROBABLY NOW THE MOST IMPORTANT GIFT FOR OUR CITIZENS HAS BEEN THAT THE, UM, LIFE EXPECTANCY FOR PEOPLE IN DUBLIN IS 87.6 YEARS. FOR, FOR OHIO IT'S ONLY 76.7 YEARS OR 0.9 YEARS. SO I DON'T KNOW IF WE CAN TAKE CREDIT FOR THIS, BUT I THINK WE TRIED TO GET PEOPLE OUT EXERCISING. UH, A NUMBER OF YEARS AGO WE HAD A $300,000 GRANT, WHICH WE TOOK OUR PEOPLE IN FOR FREE BLOOD TESTS AND BASIC TESTS AND TRIED TO TEACH 'EM ABOUT CORRECT DINING. WE GAVE THEM CUTTING BOARDS, ANYTHING TO GET 'EM IN. SO, UM, I'D LIKE TO THINK THAT WE HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE IMPROVING THE HEALTH AND QUALITY OF LIFE OF OUR CITIZENS, BECAUSE THAT'S THE GREATEST GIFT WE CAN GIVE OUR PEOPLE LONGEVITY AND GOOD HEALTH. SO THANK YOU, THE STAFF AND THANK YOU CITY COUNCIL FOR THE GOOD NEWS. THANK YOU, ANDY. SO I JUST WANT TO THANK COUNCIL MEMBER CRAM FOR COORDINATING THAT VIRTUAL MEETING LAST WEEK WITH THE RESIDENTS OF COVENTRY WOODS. IT'S BEEN, UH, A TOUGH ROAD, A HOE THERE. AND, UH, AS COUNCIL MEMBER CRAM MENTIONED, I THINK NO ONE WANTS TO BE A GUINEA PIG. UM, BUT WE'RE LEARNING A LOT. YOU, I I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY SINGLE FAMILY HOMES OR RESIDENCES WE HAVE IN THE CITY, BUT MY GUESS IS 17,000. YOU'RE BOUND TO HAVE ISSUES HERE AND THERE AND, UH, WE'RE LEARNING A LOT AND I THINK CREATING SOME PROTOCOLS THAT WILL MAKE IT SMOOTHER SAILING GOING FORWARD. UM, ALSO, UH, IF YOU'RE AROUND OVER THE LABOR DAY WEEKEND, DUBLIN AM ROTARY AND THE HISTORIC DUBLIN BUSINESS ASSOCIATION ARE HOSTING A SIXTH ANNUAL CLASSIC CAR SHOW, UH, BENEFITING ROTARY SUPPORTED LOCAL CHARITIES AND COMMUNITY PROJECTS. SO CHECK IT OUT. THANKS. VERY GOOD. THANK YOU. KATHY. NOTHING, CHRISTINA, I JUST HAVE A COUPLE THINGS. UH, AS YOU SAW ON THE CALENDAR ON THE 15TH OF THIS MONTH, WE, UH, WENT TO ATTENDED THE OHIO MAYORS ALLIANCE MEETING IN FINLEY. UM, THE, THE BIGGEST OF THE TAKE HOMES FROM THERE IS THAT THEY PASSED THEIR, UM, LEGISLATIVE AFFAIRS AGENDA. AND THERE WERE THREE ITEMS ON IT. TWO OF THEM I THINK ARE OF INTEREST TO US. ONE OF THEM IS ADDRESSING CHRONIC ABSENTEEISM IN THE SCHOOLS. UH, TWO IS, UM, WAS RAIL, IS THAT THEY WERE GOING TO START, UM, OR TO CONTINUE TO PUSH FOR THAT LEGISLATIVE AGENDA OF SERVING THE STATE OF OHIO WITH RAIL. AND THE THIRD WAS TO, UM, WORK TO PASS THE STATE COMMISSION. UM, IT'S A CURRENTLY A HOUSE BILL AND IT WOULD ESTABLISH A COMMISSION OF LOCAL GOVERNMENTS THAT WOULD OPINE ON POTENTIAL, UH, STATE HOUSE LEGISLATION. SO I THINK THERE'S VALUE IN THAT. ON THE 16TH, I HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO DO AN INTERVIEW WITH THE COLUMBUS CEO MAGAZINE ON BEHALF OF THE PARTNERSHIP, UM, THE COLUMBUS PARTNERSHIP. THEY'RE, UH, DOING AN ARTICLE THERE. SO, UH, WE WILL WE'LL READ NEWS AT 11. WE'LL SEE WHAT THAT HAS TO SAY. UH, DID HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO CELEBRATE INDIA'S INDEPENDENCE DAY. THEY HELD AN EVENT AT THE LIBRARY THAT WAS VERY WELL [00:55:01] ATTENDED AND, UH, IT WAS A, A GREAT TIME TO BE TOGETHER AND I CERTAINLY LEARNED A FEW THINGS. ON THE 17TH WAS THE JAPANESE FESTIVAL, UM, PUT ON BY JASKO AND JANE AND I HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE SUPPER WITH, UH, THE CONS GENERAL OF JAPAN, HINDU. AND, UH, THAT WAS A LOVELY TIME TO BE TOGETHER AND, UH, CERTAINLY TO STAY ON THE FRONT OF MIND OF OUR PARTNERS IN THE JAPANESE COMMUNITY THAT DO BUSINESS IN THE CITY OF DUBLIN. UH, IN THIS CHAMBER ON THE 19TH, WE HAD THE UNI, WE CELEBRATED UNIVERSAL ONENESS DAY WITH A ROCKY THAT WAS TIED AROUND OUR WRISTS AND IT WAS A WARM RECEPTION WE RECEIVED. AND, UH, IT WAS, IT WAS FUN TO BE PART OF THAT CULTURAL CELEBRATION AND IT WAS CERTAINLY MOVING THAT THEY SELECTED US TO, UM, COME AND BE WITH, UH, ON THE 20TH. THE DUBLIN GREEN, UH, RIBBON CUTTING OF MEMORY CARE FACILITY, UH, OVER ON EMERALD PARKWAY CERTAINLY IS A LOVELY FACILITY WHEN A CONGRATULATE THAT NEW BUSINESS TO CALLING THE CITY OF DUBLIN HOME. UM, AGAIN, THANK YOU AN AMY FOR PUTTING TOGETHER THE RESIDENT MEETING WITH COVENTRY WOODS ON THE 21ST. HOPEFULLY THAT WAS PRODUCTABLE PRODUCTIVE AND WE WILL, UH, CONTINUE TO SEE THE OUTCOMES OF THAT. UM, ON THE 23RD, I KNOW SEVERAL OF US HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO ATTEND THE FALLBACK STUDIOS, UH, TOUR AND CERTAINLY WELCOME THEM TO OUR COMMUNITY. THEY, IF, IF, UH, THEY'RE EXECUTE ON HALF OF WHAT THEY'RE ANTICIPATING, THEY'RE GOING TO DO GREAT THINGS IN THIS COMMUNITY AND THEY CERTAINLY ARE SET UP TO DO SO. UH, AND THEN LASTLY, TODAY I DID HAVE A FCC MEETING AND I JUST WANTED TO LET YOU ALL KNOW THAT WE ARE ON TARGET TO, UM, PRESENT OUR REPORT TO THE FCC IN, IN, UH, WASHINGTON, DC ON SEPTEMBER THE 26TH. SO ONCE THAT REPORT BECOMES PUBLIC, I'LL BE HAPPY TO SHARE IT WITH YOU AND, UM, SEE WHAT YOU THINK WITH THAT, IF THERE IS NOTHING FURTHER FOR THE GOOD OF THE ORDER, WE'LL STAND ADJOURNED. YEAH. * This transcript was created by voice-to-text technology. The transcript has not been edited for errors or omissions, it is for reference only and is not the official minutes of the meeting.
