UM, STAFF'S THANKFUL FOR COUNCIL'S CONTINUED SUPPORT AND VISION, AND WE LOOK FORWARD TO MANY MORE GREAT THINGS IN 2024.

WHILE THE HOLIDAYS ARE FOR MOST, UH, TIME FOR REST AND CELEBRATION, WE DO HAVE A LOT OF STAFF AND ON THE TEAM THAT WORKED COLLECTIVELY TO ENSURE THAT ESSENTIAL SERVICES ARE CONTINUED, RESPONDING TO EMERGENCIES, MANAGING CRITICAL PROJECTS, AND MAINTAINED SMOOTH OPERATIONS.
SO THANK YOU TO ALL THE STAFF THAT WORKED OVER THE HOLIDAYS.
AS COUNCIL'S AWARE, THE CITY RECENTLY PURCHASED THE PROPERTY AT 41 30 TULLER ROAD, FORMERLY THE CLOVERLEAF HOTEL AND VIVO LIVING, UM, TO MAKE WAY FOR THE FUTURE TWO 70 CROSSING FROM TULLER ROAD TO EMERALD PARKWAY AND TO REDUCE THE COST OF DEMOLITION AND ENHANCED SUSTAINABILITY BY DIVERTING ITEMS FROM THE LANDFILL.
STAFF HAS BEEN WORKING WITH AUCTION OHIO TO CONDUCT AN ONLINE FURNISHINGS AUCTION, AND THAT ONLINE AUCTION WILL OCCUR JANUARY 10TH THROUGH THE 17TH.
THERE WILL BE NEARLY 900 ITEMS FOR SALE, INCLUDING REFRIGERATORS, TVS, TABLES, PAVERS, UM, AND MORE WITH THE BIDDING STARTING AT $1.
SO WE WANNA MAKE SURE THE PUBLIC'S AWARE OF THAT OPPORTUNITY.
POTENTIAL BIDDERS WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO VISIT THE TELLER ROAD SITE ON JANUARY 16TH FROM THREE TO 5:00 PM AND RESIDENTS CAN VISIT THE WEBSITE FOR MORE DETAILS.
AND FINALLY, THE 2024 MLK CIVIC SERVICE SERIES WILL KICK OFF ON THE DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR.
IN 2023, NEARLY 200 VOLUNTEERS CAME FORWARD THROUGHOUT THE YEAR FOR SPECIFIC PROJECTS THAT HONOR DR.
KING'S LEGACY OF SERVICE TO OTHERS.
THE JANUARY 15TH PROJECT WILL BE A REPEAT OF LAST YEAR'S POPULAR OPENING.
OUR PARTNERS IN SENTARA WILL LEAD A GROUP DISCUSSION ON THE EFFECTS OF SOCIAL ISOLATION, ISOLATION AS VOLUNTEERS PREPARE KIND CARDS AND CRAFTS FOR THOSE LIVING IN DUBLIN SENIOR CARE FACILITIES.
