UH, THE SECOND STEP WOULD BE GOING TO BUILDING PERMITTING, FOLLOWING AN APPROVAL.
THE PURPOSE OF THIS IS TO UTILIZE UNIQUE AND CREATIVE SIGNS TO DEVIATE FROM TYPICAL SIGN REQUIREMENTS.
TYPICALLY, UH, YOU'LL SEE APPLICANTS GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND WITH THEIR DESIGN.
IT'S USUALLY MORE UNIQUE AND WHIMSICAL, UH, AND NOT JUST TO ASK FOR LARGER SIGNS, A LARGER NUMBER OF SIGNS OR HEIGHT OF SIGNS.

SO EACH OF THESE WILL BE THEIR OWN INDIVIDUAL, UH, INDIVIDUALLY CUT LETTER AND OR LOGO.
UH, AND THEN THIS WILL BE EXTERNALLY ILLUMINATED BY THREE DECORATIVE LIGHTING FIXTURES THAT ARE CURRENTLY INSTALLED.
UH, THOSE ARE PART OF THE LIGHTING PACKAGE THAT WAS APPROVED WITH THE BASE BUILDING.
UH, SO STAFF HAS WORKED WITH THE APPLICANT PRETTY EXTENSIVELY OVER THE PAST SEVERAL MONTHS TO, UH, REVISE THE SIGN PACKAGE, BUT ALSO SIMPLIFY, UH, SIMPLIFY THE DESIGN, UH, WHICH IS WHAT WE HAVE TODAY WITH EACH OF THESE BEING PIN MOUNTED.
UH, AND THEN THE APPLICANT HAS WORKED, UH, HAND IN HAND WITH US TO, TO REDUCE WHAT IS BEING SHOWN WITH THE LOGO TO WHAT WE'RE SEEING TODAY.

ADDITIONALLY, A WOOD NETWORK STUDY LOOKING AT, UH, CONNECTIONS THROUGHOUT THE WOOD AND ACROSS 33 TO CONNECT PERIMETER SITTER IN THE WOOD TO HELP KIND OF, UM, IMPROVE TRA TRAFFIC MOVING INTO THE FUTURE.
UH, THE WEST DUBLIN PASSENGER RAIL STATION STUDY IS ALSO UNDERWAY ON THE CITY'S ROUGHLY A HUNDRED ACRES, UH, ACTUALLY OUTSIDE OF THE WOOD, BUT VERY CLOSE TO THE WOOD.
AND THEN THE THOROUGHFARE PLAN AND MOBILITY PLAN, WHICH WILL BE UPDATED, AS I MENTIONED.
AND THE CITY IS ALSO LOOKING INTO A SIGNATURE GREENWAY STUDY, UH, KIND OF AN EASTWEST THAT CONNECTS BRIDGE STREET THROUGH THE REST OF THE CITY OUT TO THE WHIT.
UH, SO THE SPECIAL AREA PLAN, AS I MENTIONED, IS AN ADDITIONAL LEVEL OF PLANNING AND DESIGN AND FORETHOUGHT AND GUIDANCE THAT IS DONE KIND OF UNDER THE UMBRELLA OF THE COMMUNITY PLAN, WHICH THE CITY WILL BE UPDATING.
UM, THIS SPECIAL AREA PLAN WAS INITIATED IN 2016 AND 2017 THROUGH A LOT OF A REALLY ROBUST COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT, PUBLIC MEETINGS, UH, BENCHMARKING AND WORK BY CONSULTANT.

UM, WE'RE GONNA KIND OF FLIP THROUGH A FEW, UH, DIFFERENT SUB AREAS TO TALK ABOUT THE INTENT AND WHAT THE PURPOSE OF THESE ARE.UM, SO LIKE I SAID, A LITTLE ADDITIONAL LEVEL OF FORESIGHT AND DESIGN IN THE SPECIAL AREAS.

UM, WITH DUBLIN METHODIST ACROSS 33, THERE'S A LOT OF SYNERGY OUT HERE, AS WELL AS THE OU UM, HERITAGE CAMPUS.
UH, THERE IS ALSO THEN IDEA OF AN INNOVATION HUB.
UM, WHICH ONE PROVIDES AMENITIES FOR A LOT OF THE EMPLOYMENT USES THAT WE SEE OUT HERE.
I THINK THIS IS THE DISCUSSION THAT WE HAVE IN METRO CENTER.
HOW CAN WE AMENITIZE, UM, MAKE THIS A KIND OF A MORE 18 HOUR DISTRICT? SO THINKING ABOUT ARE THERE AMENITIES, BUT AS WELL AS KIND OF INCUBATOR, STARTUP, CREATIVE THOUGHT PLACES, UM, USES THAT LEVERAGE THE UNIVERSITY AS WELL AS OSU.
UM, AND OTHER EMPLOYMENT USES THE MIXED USE COMMERCIAL LONG AVERY TAKING ADVANTAGE, A LITTLE BIT OF THAT HIGHWAY TRAFFIC.
AND, UM, KIND OF A LOT OF VISIBILITY FROM AVERY ROAD AND SHIRE RINGS, UH, RESIDENTIAL EAST.

AND THEN AMA ADVANCED MANUFACTURING.
UH, AND I THINK, I BELIEVE PCC SAW CROSBY CORRIDOR, A PIECE OF THAT AS WELL.
SO THIS AREA AS WELL AS THE OFFICIAL PARK, UM, WHICH IS MOSTLY OUTSIDE OF THE CITY.
UH, MOVING EAST, THERE'S THE ACADEMIC INNOVATION, WHICH IS INTENDED TO PROVIDE SOME MORE KIND OF FLEX LARGER SPACE LAB SPACE.

AND THEN, OF COURSE, THE ACADEMIC CAMPUS, WHICH IS AROUND O THE OU CAMPUS, UM, INTENDED TO REALLY ATTRACT A LOT OF OTHER ACADEMIC RELATED INSTITUTIONS, RESEARCH, UNIVERSITY AFFILIATED THINGS, BUT AS WELL AS TRY TO CREATE A REAL ACTUAL CAMPUS FUEL OUT HERE TOO.
SO THINKING ABOUT HOUSING, HOSPITALITY, AND OTHER AMENITIES.
SO ON THAT, AS I MENTIONED, UM, THERE'S AN ADDITIONAL LEVEL OF THE O OHIO DUBLIN FRAMEWORK PLAN.
IN 2007, THE CITY ACQUIRED SUBWAY THREE HIGHLIGHTED, UH, TO THE NORTHEAST, JUST SOUTHWEST OF THE 33 POST ROAD, UH, INTERCHANGE.
AND 2012 OU ACQUIRED 15 ACRES, THE SUBWAY, ONE WHERE THEY HAVE THEIR BUILDINGS NOW AND ESTABLISHED THE HERITAGE COLLEGE OF MEDICINE.
AND THEN IN 2016, THE O OU DID COMPLETE THE FRAMEWORK PLAN, WHICH THE CITY ENDORSED AND WAS A STAKER STAKEHOLDER IN HELPING DEVELOP.
AND THEN IN 2019, OU ALSO ACQUIRED SUBWAY TWO, WHICH IS ALONG THE SOUTH FORK OF THE INDIAN RUN.
AGAIN, TOUCHING ON A LITTLE BIT OF THE PROCESS, UM, LED BY OU, BUT A LOT OF STAKEHOLDERS, INCLUDING THE CITY OF ENVISIONING OF WHAT THEY WANTED THIS CAMPUS TO LOOK LIKE AND WHAT IT COULD BE.
UM, AGAIN, BEING VERY DISTINCTLY DUBLIN, UM, BUT REALLY CREATING THIS CAMPUS, AND NOT JUST A COLLECTION OF BUILDINGS, BUT A LARGER DISTRICT.
AND WHAT THE FRAMEWORK CREATED, UH, WAS A VISION.
AND IT, IT'S MEANT TO BE FLEXIBLE.
SO AGAIN, A LOT OF BUILDINGS IN PARTICULAR PLACES AND STREETS, IN PARTICULAR PLACES, UH, BUT IT PROVIDED, UH, A LOT OF PRINCIPLES AND GUIDANCE ON WHAT THEY, WHAT DESIGN SHOULD REINFORCE THE SPACES.

AS WELL AS THINKING ABOUT KIND OF THESE DRIVABLE, WALKABLE KIND OF CURBLESS STREETS THAT WE'VE ALSO DISCUSSED RECENTLY WITH THE COMMISSION.

UM, THE PUBLIC REALM CLEARLY BE DEFINED BY KEY BUILDING, FRONTAGES, AN INTERCONNECTED FRAMEWORK OF OPEN SPACES, THIS VIBRANT MAIN STREET, UM, WHICH SUPPORTS A DENSE MIX OF USES, INCORPORATING SUSTAINABILITY, UM, INTO SITE AND BUILDING DESIGN.
UH, MAKING SURE THERE'S A STRONG PEDESTRIAN, OTHER PHYSICAL CONNECTIONS VIS VISIBILITY TWO AND ACROSS THE CAMPUS, AGAIN, LEVERAGING, UM, POST ROAD 33 USED INTO THE SITE.
